Chronic Pain Relief Massage in Broken Arrow
If you've lived with the same ache for months or years, you know how much it wears on you. Maybe you've tried stretching, rest, or massages that felt good for a day and then faded. My name is Mano Vang, LMT. I've been doing massage for more than 19 years, and pain-focused massage for chronic pain relief is the work I care about most. I see clients inside After FX Spa & Salon on W Washington St in Broken Arrow.

How I work
Every session starts with a short assessment. I ask where it hurts, what makes it worse, and what has changed since your last visit. Then I check how you move. From there I pick the right tools for your body that day:
-
P-DTR: I'm a certified P-DTR practitioner, having completed the intermediate and advanced courses with Kim Limon. P-DTR uses gentle muscle testing to look at how your nervous system may be holding onto pain. It's included free with your massage. Learn about P-DTR
-
Trigger point therapy: Focused pressure on tight, tender knots that can send pain to other areas. Trigger point therapy
-
SET (Structural Energetic Therapy): Deep structural work for stubborn patterns, available as a +$65 add-on. About SET
-
Deep tissue and cupping: Slow, steady pressure plus cupping (included free) to help tight areas let go. Deep tissue · Cupping
Your first session
Book through the After FX front desk. Wear or bring comfortable clothes. We'll talk for a few minutes about your history, then I'll do a quick movement check before the hands-on work. I adjust the pressure the whole time, so you should never have to brace against it. Afterward I'll tell you what I noticed and suggest a simple plan, whether that's one more visit or a few spaced out. Many people notice a difference after the first visit. Long-standing pain often takes a few sessions.
What clients say
"Mano is a superior massage therapist. I was in a car accident in 1993 and have suffered significant back pain since. I have been getting massages for about 15 years and have obtained relaxation and some short-term pain relief. Mano has a deep understanding of muscular structure that allows him to use trigger points to provide long-term pain relief. He is, by far, the best massage therapist I have ever been to. I recommend whole-heartedly."
Brooke Snyder, Broken Arrow, OK
"Mano is the best massage therapist! Have been going to him for about 3 years now. I used to get headaches frequently, but not anymore! Would highly recommend, very professional and knowledgeable!"
Melissa Dorsey, Coweta, OK
"I came in bent over and in pain and walked out upright and pain free. Thank you Mano! First time in, but not the last. I'm sold."
Cheryl Huber, Jenks, OK

FAQ
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on how long you've had the pain and what's behind it. Some people feel a real change in one visit. Others do best with a few sessions close together, then spread out. I'll give you an honest plan after the first visit.
Will it hurt?
Pain-focused doesn't mean painful. Some spots may feel tender, but I check in often and adjust. P-DTR and SET are often surprisingly gentle.
Should I see a doctor first?
Massage is meant to help with relief, not to replace medical care. If you have a new injury, numbness, or pain you're unsure about, please check with your doctor. I'm happy to work alongside your care.
