Unlocking Flexibility: Two Unique Stories of Transformation
Did you know that flexibility issues can stem from a variety of underlying causes? These challenges can limit a person’s ability to stretch to their full potential. Recently, I had the opportunity to work with the son and daughter of an old friend from elementary school, and their stories highlight just how unique flexibility challenges can be.
Case 1: The Football Player Who Couldn’t Touch His Toes
My friend’s son, an athlete and football player, had struggled with touching his toes his entire life—even as a child. While it’s common for athletic stress or muscle tightness to hinder flexibility, his case had a deeper root cause: cortisol, the body’s stress hormone, produced by the adrenal glands. High cortisol levels had been affecting his muscles and mobility for years.
Using targeted techniques, we addressed the tension in his back and hamstrings, and within just three minutes, he achieved what had always seemed impossible—he touched his toes! The joy and surprise on his face were unforgettable. Even weeks later, he maintained this newfound flexibility without any issues.



Case 2: The Former Gymnast Rediscovering Her Stretch
My friend’s daughter, a former gymnast, faced a different challenge. After undergoing multiple surgeries, her body resisted certain stretches. Specifically, she couldn’t touch her hands together behind her back—an ability she once had as a gymnast.
In just 20 minutes, we applied techniques that reset her body’s responses, and she was able to clasp her fingers together again, a moment captured in a celebratory photo.

Both cases benefited from P-DTR therapy (Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex) and injury recall techniques, which work by resetting the central nervous system.
